Mission statement

At Lowood State School we are committed to ensuring that our students are afforded a quality curriculum which promotes the successful achievement of basic skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as the application of life-long process skills in thinking, problem solving, decision making, creativity, communication and teamwork.

Our goal is to empower our students with these skills so as to enable them to confidently meet the challenges of life in the 21st century.

Vision

In recent years, Lowood State School has engaged in a journey of self-discovery and developed a school vision which provides a clear sense of ‘what we want to be’.  Our vision is used as a tool to guide our school in all that we do and underpins our professional practice.

The Lowood State School vision is:

Reaching Individual Students Everyday”

At Lowood State School we recognise that a differentiated approach responding to the needs of the student cohort, and a focus on quality teaching, is most likely to support improved student learning.

We are committed to providing for inclusivity and to ensuring that all of our students are afforded a quality curriculum which promotes the successful achievement of basic skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as the application of life-long process skills in thinking, problem solving, decision making, creativity, communication and teamwork.
