Lowood State School provides a daily hot meal program for all students.
This program is at the cost of $2 per meal and provides a hot nutritious meal for students served at 1st break. The menu changes daily weekly and will be shared with families via AustNews Eflash, Facebook and displayed at the school.
We encourage families to take advantage of this program by downloading the Qkr! app and placing orders for students.
Additionally to support students wellbeing our school is providing all students with a FREE MEAL FRIDAY - which means all students get the Friday meal at no cost. Orders must still be placed on the Qkr! app but the cost will be shown as $0.
This program is an exciting new initiative that came about due to the School Food Program Grant - which has enabled our school to equip our kitchen to facilitate this meal program. As part of this funding we also, can provide up to 100 meals per day for free to students who may need additional support. These students may have or come from families that are experiencing vulnerability, this can include but is not limited to, homelessness, medical illness, low income, no income, mental health etc. If you believe your family could benefit from this assistance, please reach out to the school or complete the following survey. Which can be found on the right hand side of this page under related links.
To ensure you're able to benefit from this great program - make sure you have downloaded the Qkr app - a link can be found to the right of this page also.
