Our goal is to empower our students with these skills so as to enable them to confidently meet the challenges of life in the 21st century.
Vision
At Lowood State School we recognise that a differentiated approach responding to the needs of the student cohort, and a focus on quality teaching, is most likely to support improved student learning.
We are committed to providing for inclusivity and to ensuring that all of our students are afforded a quality curriculum which promotes the successful achievement of basic skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as the application of life-long process skills in thinking, problem solving, decision making, creativity, communication and teamwork.
Values
Lowood State School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning School and students are supported by expectations within our school that are clear and consistent across all areas of the school.
As Lowood Champions - We focus on learning, we are respectful, supportive and safe.
These expectations and associated behaviours are revised weekly with students participating in behaviour lessons/ focus each week.
Students are rewarded by receiving 'Bunyip Bucks' for their positive behaviour and celebrated with receiving bunyip pins.
We value parents in partners for this journey and value their feedback on our processes within the school. We also acknowledge the importance of being able to celebrate students success throughout their educational journey.
