At Lowood State School homework can be requested from your childs classroom teacher. Teachers will provide work for famiiles who request it however do not provide whole of class Homework. We value you as families and know that outside of school there are so many additional life experiences that contribute to your childs health and wellbeing. We ask that rather than taking time each day to assist with learning, instead you support your childs learning by showing value in what they are learning at school.
In the Prep/ Year 2 classrooms, students have access to the Decodable Readers Australia online resource. This provides online access to a range of books at your childs reading ability. Teachers will provide this access for families.
These are some questions you might like to ask your child.
- Describe your day at school in 3 words.
- What is your PBL focus of the week and how have you demonstrated it?
- How have you shown gratitude this week?
- How have you displayed empathy?
- What ways did you practice mindfulness in your classroom?
These questions can help build connection with you, your child and our school.
